Serve on a Weekend Team

In order to serve on an Illinois Credo Recovery Weekend team you must have attended a similar 4th Day Community Weekend (such as Credo, Tres Dias, Way of Christ, Walk to Emmaus, Kairos, etc.) as a participant, and you must be clean and sober for at least 6 months as of the upcoming Credo Weekend.

Credo Teams assist in many ways, including but not limited to:

  • The Church Talk
  • Opening the Door Talk
  • Discovery Talk
  • Action Talk
  • Disciple Talk
  • Environments Talk
  • Christian Community Talk

The cost of serving on a Team is $160 per weekend, with a $40 non-refundable deposit required with application submission. Applications are due two weeks prior to the first training, and the balance is due by the last team training

Credo Team Covenant

I declare my personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

I agree with the Illinois Credo Recovery Statement of Beliefs.

I am an active participant in Illinois Credo Recovery activities.

I am willing to submit to the authority of the Illinois Credo Recovery Board, following the Illinois Credo Essentials and the Illinois Credo Dynamics through the Pre-Weekend and Weekend phases.

I am also willing to submit to the leadership of the Rector/a and Head Spiritual Director, as they are under the authority of the Illinois Credo Board.

I have attended an Illinois Credo Recovery (or equivalent) adult weekend as a participant.

I am not actively participating in activities contrary to the guidelines found in Scripture for holy living, nor am I living a life of open rebellion against God and His word.

I am willing to pray regularly for the team and participants.

Crucial for those not in recovery: I willingly abstain from all alcohol use during the Pre-Weekend training and Weekend phases.
